Iwonicz [iˈvɔnit͡ʂ] is a village in the administrative district of Gmina Iwonicz-Zdrój, within Krosno County, Subcarpathian Voivodeship, in south-eastern Poland.[1] It lies approximately 4 km (2 mi) north of Iwonicz-Zdrój, 10 km (6 mi) south-east of Krosno, and 50 km (31 mi) south of the regional capital Rzeszów.
History
During the German occupation of Poland (World War II), in 1943–1944, the occupiers operated a forced labour camp for Jewish men in the village.[2]
