Lucas Pino García (born 30 October 2005) is a Uruguayan professional footballer who plays as an attacking midfielder for Uruguayan Primera División club Montevideo City Torque.[1]
Club career
Pino played baby fútbol for Nueva Unión and Oriental de Rodríguez before joining Montevideo City Torque.[2] He made his professional debut for Torque on 21 October 2022 in a 1–2 league defeat to River Plate Montevideo.[3] In September 2024, he extended his contract with Torque until December 2029.[4]
International career
Pino was part of the Uruguay under-20 team which won the 2024 COTIF.[5]
In August 2024, Pino was called up by Uruguay A' team head coach Diego Pérez for a friendly match against Guatemala.[6] On 1 September 2024, he made his Uruguay A' debut by scoring a goal in a 1–1 draw against Guatemala. This made him the first ever goal scorer in the history of the Uruguay A' team.[7]
On 9 September 2024, Pino received his first call-up to the Uruguay national team for a FIFA World Cup qualification match against Venezuela.[8] In January 2025, he was named in Uruguay's 23-man squad for the 2025 South American U-20 Championship.[9]
