Merit Leighton (born August 17, 2002) is an American actress. She is best known for voicing Frosta in the animated superhero She-Ra and the Princesses of Power as well as playing Hannah in Alexa & Katie.
Early life
Janicek was born in Glendale, California on June 17, 2002.[1] She got interested in acting at age 5 when she realised that her TV wasn't an entrance to another universe. Her mother who is a photographer got a call from a managament company who wanted Merit to sign with them. Soon after she signed she got her first audition. Her favourite actors are IU,Lee Joon-gi and Gene Wilder[2]
Career
Leightons first voice acting role was as Lucinda in an episode of Disney Juniors Sofia the First[3] Leightons first big role came when she voiced Frosta in the superhero animated series She-Ra and the Princesses of Power.[4]
In 2019, a dream of Leightons came through when she was cast in her first anime role as Minako in Ride Your Wave.[5] Leighton's biggest role so far has been playing Hannah in the sitcom Alexa & Katie.[6] She also has her owns Youtube channel where she talks about K-pop, anime, Nintendo video games.[7]
Personal life
Leighton was previously in a relationship with actor Jacob Hopkins. She is a big fan of video games and anime especially Pokemon[8]
