Michael Todd Plehn (born 1964) is a retired United States Air Force lieutenant general who last served as the 17th president of the National Defense University from 2021 to 2024.[1] He previously served as deputy commander of the United States Southern Command from 2018 to 2020. He is a graduate of the United States Air Force Academy.[2][3]
