Postciliodesmatophora is a subphylum of ciliates, comprising the classes Heterotrichea and Karyorelictea.[2]
Members of this subphylum are characterized by postciliodesmata (singular: postciliodesma), stacks of postciliary microtubular ribbons associated with the somatic kinetosomes.[3]
