Samolubie [samɔˈlubjɛ] is a village in the administrative district of Gmina Kiwity, within Lidzbark County, Warmian-Masurian Voivodeship, in northern Poland.[1] It lies approximately 11 km (7 mi) north of Kiwity, 13 km (8 mi) north-east of Lidzbark Warmiński, and 48 km (30 mi) north of the regional capital Olsztyn.
History
The suffix -hagen of the historic village name is typical for settlements founded by Germans during Medieval Ostsiedlung.[2]
