Air Marshal Shakil Ghazanfar HI(M), SI is a senior officer of the Pakistan Air Force currently serving as the Deputy Chief of the Air Staff (Personnel), based at Air Headquarters, Islamabad.[1]
Military career
Details about Shakil Ghazanfar's early life and commissioning are not publicly disclosed. He has served in various operational and staff appointments within the Pakistan Air Force.
In 2020, he was promoted from Air Vice Marshal to the rank of Air Marshal.[2]
In November 2024, he was appointed as the Deputy Chief of the Air Staff (Personnel), where he is responsible for managing personnel affairs and human resource functions across the PAF.[3]
Awards and decorations
Air Marshal Ghazanfar was conferred the Hilal-i-Imtiaz (Military), Pakistan's second highest military award, in March 2025 for his meritorious service.[4]
