Italy and Scotland have played each other at rugby union in 38 matches, with Scotland winning 29 times, Italy winning 9 times and no matches drawn.^[1]

Scotland won their most recent encounter, 31–19 on 1 February 2025 during the 2025 Six Nations Championship.

The two nations compete for the Cuttitta Cup, an annual trophy contested during the Six Nations to commemorate Massimo Cuttitta, a former Italian captain and Scotland scrum coach.
