Plateumaris nitida is a species of aquatic leaf beetle in the family Chrysomelidae. It is found in North America.[1][2][3]

A pair of beetles mating. They display the sexual dimorphism of this species with the male being a much darker metallic black than the female which has a metallic brassy color.
