Ricardo Roberto Bocanegra Vega[a] (born May 3, 1989) is a former professional footballer who last played as a midfielder for Charlotte Independence in the USL Championship. Born in the United States, he has previously represented the Mexico under-23 national team.[1]
Personal life
Bocanegra was born in Las Vegas, Nevada, but grew up in La Paz, Baja California Sur.
Club career
Bocanegra came from the youth team of Atlas.[2] On 2011 he won the gold medal at the Pan American Games with Mexico.
