A Year of the Quiet Sun (Polish: Rok spokojnego słońca) is a 1984 Polish film written and directed by Krzysztof Zanussi and starring Maja Komorowska and Scott Wilson. It tells the story of a romance between a Polish woman and an American soldier in Poland, shortly after WWII.
The film[1] was nominated for 1986's Golden Globe Award for Best Foreign Language Film. At the Venice Film Festival, the film was awarded the Golden Lion and Pasinetti Awards.
