Aamir Abbasi is a retired senior officer of the Pakistan Army, who notably served as Commander of XXX Corps, assigned at Gujranwala.[2]
Military career
Abbasi was commissioned into the Frontier Force Regiment.
During long military career, he held various commands. As a major general, he had served as general officer commanding of the 10th Infantry Division.[3] In October 2017, he was promoted to the rank of lieutenant general while serving as the Commandant of the Command and Staff College, Quetta.[4][5]
In April 2019, he was appointed as the Colonel Commandant of the Frontier Force Regiment during a ceremony at the Frontier Force Regimental Centre, situated at the Abbottabad.[6][7]
Abbasi commanded the XXX Corps, one of the key appointments of the military.[8][9] He last served as the Quartermaster General of Pakistan Army, one of the key positions at the GHQ, before retiring from active military service.[10][11][12]
Post-retirement activities
In March 2023, Abbasi delivered a lecture on motivation and leadership at the Command and Staff College in Quetta.[13]
