Ali Bukar Dalori (born 16 June 1962) is a Nigerian politician and entrepreneur who serves as the Acting National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC) as of June 2025.[1] He previously held the position of Deputy National Chairman (North) of the APC, where he oversaw party affairs across Nigeria's 19 northern states.[2]
Early life and political career
Ali Bukar Dalori was born on 16 June 1962 in Dalori, Konduga Local Government Area, Borno State. Dalori entered politics in 1991, winning the election as councillor for Dalori Ward in Konduga LGA. In 1992, he was elected Chairman of Konduga under the Social Democratic Party (SDP) during the Babangida transition programme. After a decade in private enterprise and public service, he was elected to the Borno State House of Assembly in 2012 on the All Nigeria Peoples Party (ANPP) platform.
When opposition parties merged to form the APC in 2014, Dalori played a key role in organising the party’s base in Borno State, eventually becoming the State Party Chairman.[3]
Deputy National Chairman (North)
In August 2023, Dalori was appointed Deputy National Chairman (North) of the APC, overseeing party affairs across Nigeria’s 19 northern states.[4]
Acting National Chairman
Following the resignation of National Chairman Abdullahi Umar Ganduje in June 2025, Dalori was appointed Acting National Chairman under the All Progressive Congress party protocol.[5]
