Cespedesia is a genus of flowering plants belonging to the family Ochnaceae.[2] It contains a single species, Cespedesia spathulata.[2] The common name is Membrillo de Montana. At the top of the trunk and any vertical reiterations is a rosette of 1 m (3 ft 3 in) long spatulate leaves which are held in a near-vertical posture.[3]
Its native range is Central and Southern Tropical America.[2]
