Diaphantes is an extinct genus of marine ray-finned fish belonging to the family Trichodontidae, the sandfishes. Its only species, D. tilesii, was found in the Middle Miocene-aged Agnevo Formation of Sakhalin in the northwestern Pacific Ocean.[1][2]
