Ethmostigmus trigonopodus from northern parts of Nigeria can reach sexual maturity within one year, which is uncommon in centipedes.[4]
There exist two valid subspecies,[5] E. trigonopodus trigonopodus, and E. trigonopodus pygmenasoides.[1][6][7]
