The Federation Council[a] is the unconvened de jure upper house of the bicameral legislature of Iraq. As of 2021, no concrete steps have been made towards establishing the proposed upper house.[1]
According to Article 65 of the Constitution of Iraq, it shall consist of representatives from Iraq's federal regions and governorates, and its responsibilities is to be determined by a law enacted by the Council of Representatives.
