The Mayor of South Dhaka is the highest administrative officer of Dhaka South City Corporation. The Mayor's office manages all civic services, government property management, and most government agency operations in the city. In addition, the mayor is responsible for enforcing all city corporation and state laws within the city of Southern part of Dhaka, which ensures good governance and development of the city.
The Mayor's office is located in Nagar Bhaban; it has jurisdiction over all 75 wards of Dhaka South City.
