"Save My Love" is a song by American DJ Marshmello, English singer-songwriter Ellie Goulding, and German electronic musician Avaion.[3][4]
The song was written by Marshmello, Goulding, Connor and Riley McDonough, with Jake Torrey, and Gray Hawken, and it was produced by Marshmello, Avaion, with Connor McDonough and TK. It was released on June 6, 2025, under Joytime Collective, with exclusive license to Interscope, and Polydor Records.[5]
Background and promotion
This marks the first official collaboration between the three artists,[6] although Marshmello had previously remixed Goulding’s single "Outside" during the early stages of his career, which in an interview on the podcast Behind The Wall with Daniel Wall, he credited the remix as the one that changed his life.[7][8]
Goulding confirmed in an interview with Heart in 2022, that she and Marshmello have been working in the studio.[9] The collaboration was first teased on March 31, 2025, when Marshmello and Goulding premiered the song live sparking excitement across social media, with Marshmello sharing that was the "best reaction to an unreleased song I’ve played".[10] On May 28, Marshmello announced the release date with the song pre-order link.[11]
During the release week, each artist shared a little message with their followers on social media about the collaboration, with Marshmello saying "this one means a lot."[12] On June 3, Avaion posted an old concert ticket on Instagram from a Marshmello show, which was his first ever concert, highlighting how meaningful the collaboration was for him.[13]
"I've kept the ticket of the first show I've ever been to in my wallet. Now I'm releasing a song with him and the amazing @elliegoulding on Friday. Keep dreaming ma friends. "Save my love" out this Friday!"

The song was officially released on June 6, marking Goulding’s first-single release since January 10, with the critically acclaimed single "Hypnotized"; Marshmello’s first release since his single "Worlds Apart" on March 28; and Avaion's first-single release since May 2, with "Can't Find You".
Music video
An official visualizer directed by Ian Lipton, which was filmed in Los Angeles, was released alongside the song on June 6.[6] it features Goulding and Marshmello portraying a distant couple staying in a beach house.[15]
Reception
"Save My Love" was met with positive reviews from electronic music oulets and music critics, who praised Goulding’s emotional vocal delivery and the DJs' House-driven production, as well the vulnerability and evocative lyrical content.[16][17][18]
Peter Volpe of EDM Maniac praised the track dubbing it as a "historic collab" from three "dance music titans", while describing the song production as "a summer house tune overflowing with dancefloor euphoria":[19] Volpe highlighted Goulding's vocal performance, stating that "on “Save My Love” is the latest of many iconic dance vocals from Goulding."[19] Rolling Stone added the track on their "Songs You Need to Know" list which includes the best releases of the week.[20]
Nikos Vlamis of All 'Bout Music said that the song "offers a compelling blend of atmospheric vocals, heartfelt lyricism, and pulse-raising production" resulting in "a soaring dance-pop anthem about vulnerability, connection, and the hope of being saved by love in difficult moments."[16] Vlamis also praised the fusion of Marshmello's "luminous" signature beats with Goulding's "ethereal vocal delivery", and Avaion's "emotive touch" which added "depth and texture to the arrangement."[16] Vlamis concluded his review stating that the song "delivers a euphoric yet deeply emotional listening experience, one that’s sure to leave a lasting mark on the summer of 2025."[16]
