Salses-le-Château (French pronunciation: [sals lə ʃato] ⓘ; Occitan: Salses lo Castèl; Catalan: Salses) or just Salses is a commune in the Pyrénées-Orientales department in southern France.[3] It is located north of the city of Perpignan. It is traditionally considered as the northernmost point of the Catalan Countries (the lands in which Catalan language is spoken).
Geography
Salses-le-Château is located in the canton of La Vallée de l'Agly and in the arrondissement of Perpignan.
